User Data Deletion
At Budgetocity, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data.
How to Request Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your data in the following ways:
Option 1: Through the App
- Open the Budgetocity app
- Go to Settings
- Select "Account"
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Follow the confirmation prompts
Option 2: Email Request
Send an email to privacy@budgetocity.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- Your full name
- The email address associated with your account
- A clear statement that you wish to delete your account and all associated data
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you request account deletion, we will delete:
- Your account information (name, email, password)
- Your budget data and transaction history
- Your savings goals and planned events
- Your custom categories and preferences
- Any other personal data associated with your account
Data Retention
Some data may be retained for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as:
- Transaction records for tax and accounting purposes
- Communication records for legal compliance
- Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you
Processing Time
We will process your deletion request within 30 days of receiving it. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.
